Sensors Data supports usage-based billing based on MTU (Monthly Tracked Users). The monthly MTU quota must be specified for the contract term.
Definition
MTU (Monthly Tracked Users): The total number of unique users, deduplicated by user_id, within a calendar month.
Calculation Method
MTU usage for a single project: The number of unique users tracked by that project during a calendar month.
MTU usage for the entire environment: The sum of the monthly MTU usage across all projects. Users are not deduplicated across projects.
Calculation Schedule
MTU usage for the previous month is calculated in the early hours of the 3rd day of each calendar month. For example, July’s MTU usage is calculated on August 3.
Viewing Usage
Users can view the available MTU quota and usage details on the platform.
Navigation: Global Information > License Information > Product Quotas
Available quota: The monthly MTU quota, based on the quota configured in the license.
Used quota: The average MTU usage across all calculated months. On the 3rd day of each month, the previous month’s MTU usage is calculated and the used quota is updated accordingly.
Usage details: Displays the MTU usage for each month.
